Echo Town Filly Fetches $160,000 at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic
Al and Bill Ulwelling added an Echo Town filly to their stable on Tuesday when going to $160,000 to purchase the Ontario-bred.
Sold by Crane Thoroughbred Services out of Ravenist, the filly was bred by Michael Byrne. The filly’s siblings include Uncle Mo’s seven-time winner Famished and Mo Town’s multiple winner Calusa Donnie from the three winners out of their winning dam.
Ravenist is a half-sister to stakes winner Tothemoonandback and stakes winner and Grade III-placed Ruby Park. Ruby Park is the granddam of Grade I Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint winner Wavell Avenue with the page also including Group I winner Grenadier Guards, recent Group II winner Queen’s Walk and stakes winner Perigee Girl.
Both the second and third dams on this page have produced multiple stakes winners and stakes producers.
Echo Town registered his first graded stakes winner on Friday when Echo Sound won the Grade III Miss Preakness Stakes.
