Echo Town Son Visits Aqueduct Winner’s Circle

Adelphi Racing Club runner Skytown (3c Echo Town x Trouble For Skylar, by Into Mischief) was the 18th winner for Echo Town with a Maiden Special Weight victory at Aqueduct on Saturday.

Finishing in the top three in every start he made last year, Skytown got 2025 off to a quick start in the six furlong dirt race to kick off his sophomore campaign.

Breaking sharply when coaxed by Katie Davis, the colt pressed the leader throughout the early stages with another horse sharing the duty as well. Flying by the quarter pole, Skytown was asked to do even more and happily complied. Once they reached the stretch, Skytown took charge and inched away from the other runners.

Vekinda closed late, but was no match for the winner, who won by 1 ½ lengths in the end for trainer John Terranova.

Bred by TLC Thoroughbreds, Skytown is the first foal out of the three-time winning Into Mischief mare Trouble For Skylar. That mare is a half-sister to stakes winner Flatterywillgetyou and the stakes placed Accelebrate, who produced the stakes placed Whata Moon.

Echo Town is the sire of two stakes winners and four stakes performers among his 18 winners.
