Maximum Security Filly Romps To Second 2025 Victory

Max’s Redemption (3f Maximum Security x Time to Play, by Medaglia d’Oro) stayed perfect in 2025 with a 9 ¼ length win at Delta Downs.

The Brad Cox trainee stepped up to 7 ½ furlong in this start after breaking her maiden going six furlongs. She raced in the rear early on after being brushed at the start before moving closer to the leaders down the backstretch.

Saving ground around the far turn, she became a serious threat and that was made even more clear when she took the lead coming into the stretch. The filly didn’t leave her win in chance, pulling away with every stride to win by 9 1/4 lengths. It was even more clear that she outclassed the field when looking past that runner-up with the rest of the field over 23 lengths behind the winner.

A homebred for Gary and Mary West, Max’s Redemption has finished in the top two in all three of her starts.

The filly is out of two-time winner Time To Play, who is a daughter of Grade I winner Game Face. That mare produced Grade II-placed Coliseum and the dam of Grade II winner Turnerloose.

Max’s Redemption is one of 18 winners for Maximum Security, putting him 10th among all second crop sires.
