Mendelssohn Daughter Registers Fourth Consecutive Victory

Mendys Honey (4f Mendelssohn x Honey Chile, by Invisible Ink) won her fourth straight race on Friday night when she won the Original Gold Stakes at Charles Town.

Racing seven furlongs on the dirt, the heavy favorite sat just behind a duel between the top two. It wasn’t until the final quarter that she made a move with jockey Arnaldo Bocachica sitting her down coming into the stretch.

Finding another gear, Mendys Honey took over the lead before pulling away to win by 2 ¾ lengths with the third placed runner 5 ¾ lengths behind her.

Now the earner of $185,232, the Ultra Championship Racing runner is trained by Anthony Farrior and has won six of her eight starts with a blacktype placing to her name.

She was bred by James Miller out of the multiple graded stakes placed Honey Chile, who also produced the stakes placed Honeyquist among her seen winners from seven to race. Honey Chile is also a full sister to the multiple stakes winner Prince of Time.

Mendelssohn is the sire of 58 winners in 2025, the most of any fourth crop sire with his 11 stakes performers this year also leading the group.
