Rosa Salvaje Wins from Front in G3 Prix Chloe
Rosa Salvaje (3f Maximum Security x Idle Hour, by Malibu Moon) added a stakes win to her record on Sunday with a Group III Prix Chloe victory at Chantilly.
Breaking well in the 1 1/8-mile turf race, Rosa Salvaje was the first out of the gate and quickly took up pacemaking duties. Kept honest by runners behind her, the filly entered the stretch with her ears pricked as she started to pull away.
Another runner made strides to catch her in midstretch but Rosa Salvaje refused to give up her win and found another burst of speed to win by 2 ½ lengths.
Trained by Christopher Head, Rosa Salvaje is raced by Ecurie Francky Defosse, Haras de L’Hotellerie, Snig Elevage, Frederic Sauque, and her trainer.
She has won three of her starts and was also second in a Listed race and third in a Grade III.
Bred by Yeguada Centurion in Ireland, Rosa Salvaje is out of the stakes placed Idle Hour, who has two winners from two to race. The mare is a daughter of Grade I winner Downthedustyroad and a half-sister to the dam of multiple stakes placed Under Who’s Radar.
Maximum Security is the sire of two stakes winners and four stakes performers in 2025 with 24 winners.
