First Winner for Acrobat

Fastnet Rock’s brilliant juvenile Acrobat broke the ice on Sunday with his first winner after Acrodance (2f Acrobat x Irrestible Miss, by Choisir) scored on debut at the Sunshine Coast.

Trained by Paul Shailer, Acrodance was sent off as favourite for the 1000m maiden after showing talent with a recent barrier trial win at the Gold Coast.

Allowed to settle back in the field by Ryan Maloney, Acrodance was doing her best work late coming with a well timed run to win by a long neck.

Passed in when consigned through the Riverstone Lodge draft at the Magic Millions National yearling sale, Acrodance was retained to race with James Bester in her ownership.

Acrodance is the first foal of Irresistible Miss, a winning half-sister by Choisir to stakes-winner Pretty in Pink.

Irresistible Miss is married to Acrobat and has a yearling colt and filly foal by the promising young sire to follow.

Acrobat has been given a good opportunity so succeed off a low fee covering 530 mares in his first three seasons and priced at $11,000 this spring.

Acrobat has seven entries for Magic Millions 2026 and seven for Inglis Classic.
