Starspangledbanner's Foals In Demand At Goffs

Progeny by Starspangledbanner were in demand at the Goffs November Foal Sale this week, commanding prices of up to €145,000.

That offering was Clonlisk Stud’s full-sister to Group 3 Mercury Stakes winner Dun Na Sead, who sold to Tally-Ho Stud. The filly hails from the family of Oaks heroine Lady Carla.

Another highlight was Woodford Stud’s filly from the family of Group 1 Commonwealth Cup and July Cup scorer Shaquille. The bay was knocked down to PC Bloodstock for €130,000.

In addition, Rathbarry Stud’s half-brother to Italian Group 2 winner Romagna Mia sold to Peter and Ross Doyle Bloodstock for €100,000.

These results continued an excellent week for Starspangledbanner after Gstaad and Precise claimed the Cartier Two-Year-Old Colt and Filly titles at the Cartier Awards on Wednesday.
