Top-Class Delacroix Receives Cartier Three-Year-Old Colt Crown

Delacroix (3c Dubawi - Tepin, by Bernstein) capped his brilliant career when being crowned Cartier Three-Year-Old Colt at the Cartier Awards on Wednesday.

The son of Dubawi was a high-class juvenile with victory in the Group 3 Autumn Stakes and a narrow second in the Group 1 Futurity Trophy.

He went on to land a brace of top-level wins this season for Ballydoyle when capturing the Eclipse and Irish Champion Stakes, having also won the Group 3 Ballysax Stakes and Leopardstown Derby Trial.

Now set to stand his first covering season at Coolmore, Delacroix is a half-brother to Group 1 Prix de Royallieu winner Grateful and out of champion American mare Tepin.

He was bred by the Tepin Syndicate.
