Ceo Stealth Mode (Calyx) Wins On Debut

Calyx Colt Delivers On Debut

Ceo Stealth Mode (3c Calyx – Lady Athaliah, by Acclamation) justified strong market support to make a winning debut in Sunday’s six-furlong maiden at Sligo.

Bought by Jason Kelly from Brown Island Stables at the Arqana Breeze-Up Sale for €150,000, the Paddy Twomey-trained colt was sent off a short-priced favourite under Billy Lee. Tracking the leaders in the early stages, he was asked for quicken two furlongs out and was ridden upon entering the straight. The Bond Thoroughbred-owned bay ran on to lead inside the final furlong and kept on to score by four lengths.

The promising Calyx colt was bred by Old Carhue Stud.
