Coolmore to Sponsor Gr.1 Coronation Cup

As part of a series of enhancements to the Epsom Derby Festival, the Coolmore partners Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith and John Magnier are delighted to step in to support the Coolmore Coronation Cup with the race’s prizemoney more than doubling from £450,000 to £1 million.

The Coolmore Coronation Cup will also move to a new Saturday slot, underscoring the Jockey Club’s commitment to showcasing it as one of the premier middle-distance contests for older horses.

Coolmore will sponsor around 30 races across ten different countries for the coming year including 13 Group races, six of them at Group 1 or Grade 1 level. In addition to direct sponsorships, Coolmore put approximately €1.4 million into the European Breeders’ Fund and another $1.4 million into the Breeders’ Cup the bringing the total spend worldwide to over $5m.
