Wootton Bassett Filly Makes Perfect Start
Sunday saw pricey breeze-up buy Enchant (2f Wootton Bassett – Sarrocchi, by Galileo) made a winning start for Karl Burke and Wathnan Racing at Pontefract.
The Wootton Bassett filly was sent off favourite for the six-furlong contest and was ridden prominently by Sam James. Ridden to challenge inside the final furlong, she kept on to beat a previous winner by half a length on the line, with another eight and half lengths back to the third.
Bred by Rockhart Trading, Enchant was sold by The Bloodstock Connection to Blandford Bloodstock at the Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale.
