Wootton Bassett Filly Off The Mark
Stellar Quality (3f Wootton Bassett - Class Act, by Galileo) struck at the second time of asking when winning comfortably at Bellewstown on Tuesday.
The Jessica Harrington-trained filly was progressing from a fine debut effort at Killarney last month, staying on strongly to place third.
Once again ridden by Shane Foley, the daughter of Wootton Bassett came home to win by a length and three-quarters, with Tswalu (by Justify) in third.
Assistant trainer Kate Harrington said: "She did things really nicely this evening.
"They jumped off and went a nice even gallop which suited her. I was a little bit concerned around the top bend as she wasn't just quite handling the track, but Shane said as soon as he got her out and he straightened up, she picked up really well.
"She ran on great, so I'd say this will probably be her minimum so there will be no harm in stepping up to a mile and six [furlongs]."
Stellar Quality is a homebred for Yulong Investments.
