Wootton Bassett Juvenile Filly Steps Up For Victory
Secret Echo (2f Wootton Bassett - Eaves, by Galileo) became the latest juvenile winner for her sire with success at Beverley on Saturday.
Sent off the odds-on favourite after two places from her first two starts, the Roger Varian-trained filly showed plenty of grit to win by a neck under Callum Rodriguez. There was a further five lengths back to the third-placed runner.
From the family of 1,000 Guineas winner Virginia Waters, Secret Echo became Wootton Bassett's second two-year-old winner of the day and 24th of the season.
Secret Echo is a homebred for Yulong Investments.
