Four-Year-Old Winner Continues Idaho’s Fine Point Record
Green Style (4g Idaho – Miss Muldoon, by Alphabatim) shaped like an exciting prospect when winning Sunday’s four-year-old maiden at Oldcastle.
Trained by Ross Crawford for Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, the Idaho gelding was one of 10 to line up in the opener. Stephen Connors settled the newcomer in midfield and improved into second after the penultimate fence. Drawing clear with the leader, he asserted before the last and went on to win by three lengths, with all of 50 lengths back to the remainder.
Connections are now considering the Goffs Defender Bumper at the Punchestown Festival for Green Style, who was bred by Mrs Brenda Byrne. He became Idaho’s third point-to-point winner of the month.
Idaho’s first runners under rules include Idaho Sun, who won his first two starts in bumpers before finishing a respectable sixth in the Cheltenham Champion Bumper.
