Mahler’s Dawn Of Light Tops Tattersalls Cheltenham Trade At £370,000

The exciting Dawn Of Light (4m Mahler - Genifique, by Nickname) topped trade at the Tattersalls Cheltenham November Sale on Friday when selling to Mags O’Toole for £370,000.

A half-sister to the top-class chaser Bravemansgame, the four-year-old had demonstrated considerable talent of her own when running out a 20-length winner at Quakerstown recently.

O’Toole added: “She’s a gorgeous mare. She won very well, she’s got a great pedigree, and I hope that she is lucky. She’s going back to Ireland, but I don’t know who’s going to train her yet.”

The daughter of Mahler was bred and trained by Richard Busher.

He said after the sale: “That was great, a great price, but then she’s a good mare. There’s a lot of bad days so you’re always hoping for something like this. I was thinking of keeping her and breeding from her, but then I thought I should take the money!”
