Nine More Winners of the Point-to-Point Incentive Scheme!

Easter Week’s Point-to-Point action yielded a clutch of Incentive winners as nine horses by Coolmore stallions (past or present) made their way into the winners’ circle for 4YO or 5YO Maidens.

The Marea O’Donoghue-bred Frost Moon got the ball rolling on Wednesday at Ballyknock when taking the 4YO Mares Maiden. The daughter of Wings Of Eagles was trained by Colin Bowe for Milestone Bloodstock.

The reigning Champion and current leader of the Sires Table, Walk In The Park, was responsible for three 4YO Maiden winners over the weekend, kickstarted by the Kieran & Breda Lennon-bred Lennon Grove’s win in Loughanmore for Derek & Carol O’Connor. The Grangeclare Stud-owned and bred Grangeclare Park won the geldings Maiden at Curraghmore by 18 lengths for Colin Bowe, while JP McManus’ gelding Harry Lowes led home a 1-2-3-4 for Coolmore sires at Quakerstown for Derek O’Connor and breeders Thistletown Stud.

Mister Pessimistic claimed the 4YO Geldings Maiden at Loughanmore on Sunday for Sean Doyle and The Monbeg Partnership. The son of the recently retired Westerner was bred by Alan Kavanagh.

The following race, the 5YO Mares Maiden, went the way of Kingston Hill’s Mornington Beach. Trained by Susan O’Gorman for Sean and J.J. Howlett.

JP McManus’ homebred Getaway gelding, Sound As A Bell, was the winner of the 4YO Maiden at Quakerstown for Derek O’Connor.

The first home in the 5YO Geldings Maiden at the same venue was Paurick O’Connor’s Timefortom (Soldier Of Fortune), owned by the Three Dudes Syndicate and bred by Robert O’Callaghan.

And finally, the Maxios-sired Max’d Out (pictured) was a 6½ length winner of the 4YO Maiden at Loughanmore for Matthew Flynn O’Connor. Bred by Close Holding Ltd.
