Six Point-to-Point Incentive Winners To Round Off The Season!
The final weekend of the point-to-pointing season saw six more breeders added to the list of Incentive winners, bringing the grand total to 97!
Seaniecon (Capri) kickstarted proceedings at Saturday’s Ballingarry meet by winning the 4YO Maiden for Jim O’Neill and breeder Niall Earls.
The two divisions of the 5YO Geldings Maiden at the same venue were won by Idaho’s St Lawrence’s Well who won by a cool 7½ lengths for owner/breeder/trainers Norah & Denis Aherne and Deebert (Ocovango) who came home in front for trainer Enda Bolger, owner JJ Power, and breeder Terence Leonard.
The first race at Ballingarry on Sunday, the 4YO Geldings Maiden, went to I Walked The Line who Cormac Doyle trains for the Monbeg Farm Racing Partnership. Bred by Aidan Aherne, I Walked The Line is a son of Walk In The Park, who was crowned Champion Sire with a remarkable 49 winners for the season!
At Inchydoney on Sunday, the 4YO Mares Maiden went to a daughter of Soldier Of Fortune, the Noel James-bred Shinealight, who runs for Sean Doyle and the Monbeg Partnership.
And last but by no means least, our final Point-to-Point Incentive winner for the ‘24/’25 season is Getaway’s Fiyero (pictured) who was a 2-length winner of the 4YO Geldings Maiden, once again for Sean Doyle and the Monbeg Partnership. Fiyero was bred by Ballinaroone Stud.
