Seeitoldya (Walk in the park) Wins On Debut At Ballycrystal

Smart Four-Year-Old Winner By Walk In The Park

Seeitoldya (4g Walk In The Park – Carrie Des Champs, by Robin Des Champs) justified strong market support on debut to lead home a 1-2 for his sire in Saturday’s four-year-old maiden at Ballycrystal.

Sent off favourite under Derek O’Connor, Ellmarie Holden’s newcomer raced prominently throughout and stuck to his task well to see off Iconic Walk (Walk In The Park) by two and a half lengths. The front pair finished 12 lengths clear of the remainder, from a field of nine.

Seeitoldya was bred by Kenneth Alexander out of a half-sister to recent Cheltenham Festival winner Doddiethegreat (Fame And Glory).

At Lisronagh the following day, the John Murphy-trained Ballindenisk (5g Walk In The Park – Goodthynemilan, by Milan) made his second start a winning one in the five-year-old geldings maiden.

The Oisin Mahon-owned bay had made a promising debut earlier in the month, finishing third, and was sent off favourite to build on that effort under Sean Staples. He displayed a willing attitude when forced to rally, digging deep to deny Kazansky (Milan) by a head on the line.

The promising son of Walk In The Park was bred by Mrs Norah Ahern.
