Son Of Walk In The Park Lands First Win
Mullaghgloss (4g Walk In The Park - Baileys Partytime, by Aqlaam) got off the mark when striding to a comfortable victory at Galway on Tuesday.
The Andrew Slattery-trained gelding was prominent under Adam Ryan and came home strongly inside the final furlong to win the bumper by a length and a quarter.
Slattery's brother Willie said: "He was well fancied the last day in Listowel but things just didn't go right and it has taken him two runs to learn how to race.
"He settled better today and to be fair, the jockey probably made the difference. Adam said beforehand that he felt the others would probably come wide, so he had his homework done.
“He will go jumping hurdles now.”
Mullaghgloss was bred by Mrs D Cashman.
