Walk In The Park Mare Defies Penalty With Ease

Black-type performer Sunset Marquesa (6m Walk In The Park – Be My Sunset, by Bob Back) gained her second win over hurdles in good styke at Ffos Las on Thursday afternoon.

The Joe Tizzard-trained mare placed in two listed bumpers last season and got off the mark over hurdles when scoring by 11 lengths at Wincanton in November. Tackling heavy ground for the first time in Thursday’s mares’ novices’ hurdle, the bay made all under Brendan Powell and looked the likely winner from three out. Pushed along from the final flight, she led by five and a half lengths on the line, with another 17 lengths back to the third horse.

The Walk In The Park mare is owned by The Wychwood Partnership and was bred by I McGrath.
