Clondaw Park (Walk In The Park) Impresses At Lisronagh

Walk In The Park Mare Fetches £320,000

Walk In The Park was responsible for the highest-priced mare at the Tattersalls Cheltenham Festival Sale, where the Mick Goff-trained Clondaw Park (4m Walk In The Park – Zamani, by Teofilo) brought £320,000 from Harry Derham and Ed Bailey.

The well-related four-year-old made all on debut at Lisronagh last month and drew clear to win by eight lengths with ease. Derham was one of many impressed by her performance, and after securing her on behalf of Nick and Ceri Fell, said: “Clondaw Park’s winning performance was very good, and her pedigree is smart, so I am delighted to get her.”

Jonathan Fogarty enjoyed another pleasing result with his Walk In The Park mare, Jenny France (4m Walk In The Park – Jennys Surprise, by Hawk Wing), who won a four-year-old maiden at Lingstown in November.

On Thursday evening, Peter and Ross Doyle, along with Joe Tizzard, went to £120,000 for the promising prospect.
