Lennon Grove (Walk In The Park) Wins The Four Year Old Mares’ Maiden At Loughanmore

Walk In The Park Mare Goes One Better At Loughanmore

Lennon Grove (4m Walk In The Park – Roc N Roe, by Mahler) led home a 1-2 for Coolmore NH sires in Saturday’s four-year-old mares’ maiden at Loughanmore.

The Derek O’Connor-trained bay had made a promising debut early last month at Kildorrery, where she was headed close home and finished second. Partnered by Eoin Mahon on her second start, she raced in mid-division in the early stages and loomed into contention entering the final circuit. Leading before the last, she ran on well to beat Millstatt Abbey (Order Of St George) by half a length, as the pair finished seven lengths clear of the remainder.

A return to the sales ring is on the cards for Lennon Grove, who carries the colours of Carol O’Connor. The daughter of Walk In The Park was bred by Kieran and Breda Lennon.
