Kiltealy Park (Walk In The Park) Wins Listed Boylesports Mares Handicap Chase

Walk In The Park Mare Rallies For Black Type Success

Kiltealy Park (6m Walk In The Park – Mohboss, by Lahib) came out on top in a thrilling finish to the Listed Boylesports Mares Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse on Tuesday.

The Paul Nolan-trained mare won twice over hurdles last season and made a winning chase debut against geldings in December. Racing over two miles and five furlongs on Tuesday, she was settled towards the back of the field by Philip Donovan and began to make headway from five out.

Producing a challenge after the third last, she led by the next, but pecked on landing after the final fence. She battled back on the run-in and led on the line, as the front pair rallied nine and a half lengths clear of the favourite in third.

The game daughter of Walk In The Park is owned by the Browne Bros Partnership and was bred by Wiyi Bloodstock.
