Walk In The Park Newcomer Justifies Support With Ease
Eremenko (4f Walk In The Park – Asturienne, by Sleeping Car) produced a likeable performance on debut to win Tuesday’s bumper at Southwell.
Trained by Nicky Henderson for owner/breeder Kenneth Alexander, the daughter of Walk In The Park was sent off favourite under James Bowen. Racing prominently throughout the two-mile contest, she eased into the lead two furlongs from home and was pushed clear approaching the final furlong. She went on to score by four and a half lengths from promising newcomer Beggar’s Nap (Wings Of Eagles).
Eremenko is closely related to Cheltenham Festival winner Doddiethegreat (Fame And Glory).
