Justify Filly Earns First Stakes Success In Soiree
Multiple stakes placed Warrior’s Justice (3f Justify x Warrior Maid, by Holy Bull) took home a well-earned stakes victory on Saturday with a Louisiana Legends Soiree Stakes win.
Warrior’s Justice went straight to the lead in the one-mile dirt race and was kept under a hold to conserve her energy as the pace setter. The long-time second placed runner made a bid for the lead in the stretch, but Warrior’s Justice had her well-handled to win by 2 ¼ lengths in the end.
Trained by Abel Ramirez-Rodriguez for owner-breeder Russell Welch, Warrior’s Justice has finished in the top three in seven of nine starts for $164,976 in earnings. Her on-the-board finishes include three stakes as a 2-year-old before this one.
Warrior’s Justice is one of two stakes performers and five winners out of the four-time stakes winning Warrior Maid. That mare has a 2-year-old filly by Tiz The Law named Warrior’s Law and a yearling colt by Maximum Security named Warrior’s Flight.
In the past week alone, Justify has sired four stakes winners in four different countries.
