$440,000 Home Affairs Colt

Exciting young sire Home Affairs made his presence felt on the first day at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Victoria on Sunday when his colt from Kononkop (Arg) sold for $440,000 to the bid of Mulberry Racing.

Bred and sold by Morning Rise Stud, the handsome chestnut is a half-brother to two metro winners and is the fifth foal of dual Group I winner Kononkop, the Champion Argentinian 2YO Filly in 2016/2017.

Brad Widdup will train the colt.

“A lovely, strong colt that has a beautiful walk on him. He presented himself well at the sale, and we had to walk away with him,” he commented on Facebook.

Kononkop had another colt foal by Home Affairs last spring.
