Peachester Lodge Purchase St Mark’s Basilica Filly for $330,000
St Mark’s Basilica finished 2025 as one of the leading first season sires in Europe and with his first Australian bred progeny expected to make their presence felt here in 2026, he enjoyed strong results at Magic Millions last week with 100% clearance in Book 1.
He had eight yearlings sell in Book 1 at an average $168,750 with his top seller a lovely filly from Good Vibes (GB) that was offered by Widden Stud and purchased for $330,000 by Grahame and Linda Huddy of Peachester Lodge.
A half-sister to stakes-winner Odinson, the filly is the third foal of fast Group III winner Good Vibes, a half-sister to Japanese stakes-winner Yakushima.
Globe-trotting trainer Henry Dwyer will prepare his second highest priced yearling with the Coolmore consigned filly from Lady Piaf knocked down to Henry Dwyer Racing/Jamie Piggott Bloodstock/Nick Bauer.
A grand-daughter of Group I winner Lady Jakeo by I Am Invincible, Lady Piaf produced a colt by St Mark’s Basilica last spring before going to Switzerland.
