Second Group Victory For Churchill’s Ridari

Ridari (3c Churchill - Ridasiyna, by Motivator) landed his second Pattern victory with a brave score in the Group 2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein at Longchamp on Saturday.

The Aga Khan homebred had won the Group 3 Prix de Fontainebleau over course and distance in April and had also finished close-up in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains and Prix du Jockey Club following that effort.

Trained by Mikel Delzangles, the son of Churchill was held up towards the rear but made headway from two-and-a-half-furlongs out.

He stayed on well under Mickael Barzalona to claim victory by a shoulder.

Churchill has been represented this year by Group winners The Foxes, Yashin, Imperialist and Trustyourinstinct.
