Juvenile Son Of No Nay Never Wins Group 3
Mission Central (2g No Nay Never - Thar She Blows, by Zoffany) became a new Group-winning juvenile for No Nay Never with victory in the Group 3 Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday.
The Ballydoyle-trained gelding was an impressive eight-length winner over course and distance this month and built on that with a first Group success from only three starts to date.
Ridden by Wayne Lordan, Mission Central made all and justified favouritism with a three-quarter-length strike.
Aidan O'Brien said: “Wayne said - unusually, he was still green. He said he was there at halfway and he was waiting. He said he has a lot of natural speed.
“He learned a bit today, he had to get down and knuckle down. I’d say he’s quick, five would be no problem to him, and that’s slow ground.
“Wayne said he felt he was only hacking and the lads in the race felt they were flying, that’s the sign of a speed horse. I suppose he could be a Flying Childers type of horse, he’s very fast and I’d imagine that’s the type of horse he is.”
Mission Central was bred by Gigginstown House Stud.
