Minnie Hauk Completes Classic Double in Dominant Irish Oaks Win

Superstar filly Minnie Hauk (3f Frankel – Multilingual, by Dansili) added to her growing resume on Saturday with a commanding victory in the Group 1 Irish Oaks, completing the coveted Epsom–Curragh double for the Coolmore partners.

Trained by Aidan O’Brien at Ballydoyle and ridden with trademark poise by Ryan Moore, the Ben Sangster-bred filly produced a fluent turn of foot in the final furlong to win comfortably by 1¼ lengths. Her victory confirms her status as one of the top two middle-distance fillies of her generation.

“Everything has gone well since Epsom,” O’Brien said following the race.

Coolmore stallions were responsible for the second through to fifth placed fillies; Wemightakedlongway (Australia), Island Hopping (Wootton Bassett), Butterfly Wings (Justify), and Merrily (No Nay Never).
