
Brace Of Six-Figure Lots For St Mark’s Basilica At Goffs
Leading first-season sire St Mark’s Basilica was represented by two six-figure lots at the Goffs November Foal Sale this week.
Grenane House Stud’s colt from the family of top-class performers Youmzain and Pilsudski sold to Haras de Meautry for €130,000, while The Castlebridge Consignment’s half-sister to stakes winner Right And True made the same amount when purchased by Castlehyde Stud.
Galbertstown Stables’ half-sister to the stakes-placed Miss Maia was knocked down to Louis Dubois, Thomas Gibson and EDC for €98,000.
Another popular offering was Ballybin Stud’s granddaughter of 1,000 Guineas heroine Ameerat and she went the way of R Kilmartin and Woodleigh Stables for €90,000.
St Mark’s Basilica will be represented by five foals at Tattersalls next week.
