Camelot Filly Captures First Win In Style
Yulia (3f Camelot - Cosmique, by Pivotal) shelved her maiden tag when running out an eight-length winner at Nancy on Saturday.
The Wertheimer & Frere homebred had placed on three of her last four starts, including when placing a narrow second on debut at Lyon-Parilly in April.
Trained by Christophe Ferland, the daughter of Camelot was taken to the front under Enzo Corallo and the duo piled on the pressure heading into the home straight to score by a wide margin.
Yulia was another winner on the day for Camelot, with impressive Leopardstown maiden scorer Amelia Earhart and the Group-winning Christmas Day among his victorious performers. Camelot was also responsible for C'Est Vrai, who had captured the Listed Grand Prix de Marseille at Marseille Borely.
