Gotomylovely (Camelot) Wins At Gowran Park

Pair Of Smart Maiden Winners By Camelot

Gotomylovely (3f Camelot – Dowager, by Groom Dancer) drew clear to a stylish maiden victory at Gowran on Wednesday afternoon.

The Fozzy Stack-trained bay was partnered by Joey Sheridan in the fillies and mares’ maiden over a mile, and raced prominently throughout. Asserting from three out, she quickened along the inside rail and went on to score by six lengths.

“I tried to use her experience out in front and she quickened up smartly in the straight,” Sheridan reported. “I gave her her own space and she's showed us in her work at home that she quite likes that. There's an engine there.”

Bred by Lynch Bages and Rhinestone Bloodstock, the full-sister to Stakes performer Guerre D’Amour (Camelot) is owned by Mrs MV Magnier and Paul Shanahan.

The following day at Ripon, the Andrew Balding-trained Middle Ages (3c Camelot – Arte Volante, by Dutch Art) justified strong market support in the mile-and-a-half maiden.

The 250,000gns yearling buy ran just once as a juvenile over seven furlongs in July of last year. Partnered by Rob Hornby on his second career starts, he raced prominently and was ridden to lead approaching the three-furlong marker. The bay kept on well to score by half a length, the front pair finishing six lengths clear of the remainder.

The promising son of Camelot is owned by Isa Salman Al Khalifa and was bred by Tally-Ho Stud.
