Promising Camelot Filly Scores On Seasonal Return

A step up in trip and switch to turf saw the promising Tralee Girl (3f Camelot – Debdebdeb, by Teofilo) get off the mark in Wednesday’s mile-and-a-half maiden at Catterick.

The Michael Bell-trained filly placed on both her starts over a mile as a juvenile and was sent off second favourite on her three-year-old return. The bay led after two furlongs and was asked to quicken upon entering the straight. She kept on well under hands and heels to score by a furlong and a half under Jay Mackay, with another two lengths back to the third.

The improving daughter of Camelot is owned and bred by Dermot Hanafin.
