Son Of St Mark’s Basilica Strikes At The Curragh
Jordi Bear (2g St Mark’s Basilica - Woody Creek, by Zoffany) was a new winner for the in-form St Mark’s Basilica with success at the Curragh on Saturday.
The Fozzy Stack-trained two-year-old was settled in midfield and moved up over a furlong out before taking the lead to register a length-and-a-quarter success over Which Wolf Wins (by Holy Roman Emperor).
Stack said: "His first couple of runs were alright but I’d say in Down Royal he didn’t act on the track. I’m delighted for John [Barrett, co-owner] and everyone, and hopefully he’s progressive.
"He’s in the Goffs Million so whether we roll the dice in that or not, we’ll see."
Jordi Bear was bred by Armitage Bloodstock.
