St Mark’s Basilica Colt Wins Again
Rogue Supremacy (2c St Mark’s Basilica – Might Spirit, by Acclamation) returned to winning ways with a commanding success over 5 furlongs at Hamilton Park yesterday.
Trained by David O’Meara and ridden by Danny Tudhope, the bay colt showed a sharp turn of foot to score by a head, carrying top weight in the four-runner field. A previous winner on debut at Wetherby, Rogue Supremacy had acquitted himself in strong company in Listed events before confidently dispatching his rivals on Thursday.
Out of the black type sprinter Mighty Spirit (by Acclamation), Rogue Supremacy hails from a fast and precocious family, and his performance once again underlines the quality being transmitted by St Mark’s Basilica, whose first crop have hit the racetrack this year.
Rogue Supremacy was bred by Coverdale Stud.
