Seven More Point-to-Point Incentive Scheme Winners!

Seven breeders have been awarded the Coolmore Point-to-Point Incentive following the weekend’s action.

The Seamus McKeogh-bred Freshers Week (Crystal Ocean) got Saturday’s Taylorstown meeting off to a good start when winning the 4YO Maiden on debut for Cormac Doyle and the Monbeg Farm Racing Partnership.

Walk In The Park supplied the winner of the 5YO Geldings Maiden at the same venue when Park Talk came home in front for Sean Doyle, The Monbeg Partnership and breeders Eclipse Bloodstock Ltd & Gary Hadden.

Myrighthandman (Walk In The Park) took the 4YO Maiden at Castletown-Geoghegan on Sunday for Gary Murphy and The Turbine Syndicate. Bred by Francis Whelan.

This was followed shortly after by Shining Marble’s win in the 5YO Geldings Maiden for Michael Murphy and Redbridge Stables. The son of Mahler was bred by Robert Hodgins.

It was a Walk In The Park 1-2 in the 4YO Mares Maiden at Dromahane when the Colin Bowe-trained Fairy Park got the better of Cappa Lass by a distance of 8 lengths. Fairy Park is owned by Grangeclare Stud and was bred by Frank Motherway.

Fresh from Grand National success as the breeder of Nick Rockett (Walk In The Park), Kieran Cotter, son-in-law of renowned judge Demi O’Byrne, struck gold again when Crystal Island became the second winner of the weekend for his sire Crystal Ocean. Trained by Eamonn Doyle for the Mossy Fen Stables Partnership, the bay ran out a 3½-length winner of the 4YO Geldings Maiden at Rathcannon.

The Liam O’Gorman-bred Kazansky (Milan) rounded off the weekend in good style when landing the 5YO Geldings Maiden for Sam Curling and J O’Leary.
