Crystal Ocean Gelding Readily Strikes At Carrigarostig

Willow Tide (5g Crystal Ocean - Katie’s Willow, by Beneficial) claimed a first win between the flags when readily landing the five-year-old geldings maiden at Carrigarostig on Sunday.

Trained by Aidan Fitzgerald, the son of Crystal Ocean made all the running under Troy Walsh and readily asserted when challenged from two fences out. He stayed on to score by three and a half lengths.

Willow Tide is another exciting prospect for his sire, whose other recent winners include Huntingdon mares' novices' hurdle scorer Watamu and impressive Ascot maiden hurdle victor Crystal Island.
