$185,000 Filly Kicks Off Yearling Season for Epicenter

It was a $185,000 filly for Epicenter on Tuesday at the Fasig-Tipton July Sale when Winchell Thoroughbreds placed the winning bid on the Four Star Sales offering.

Bred by D.J. Stable, this was the second time through the ring for the first foal out of three-time winner Ha’Penny. That mare is a daughter of Uncle Mo’s Grade III winner Mo’Green, who has three winners from three to race.

Mo’Green is one of three stakes performers out of the stakes placed She’s a Rebel Too, who has produced six winners overall. She’s a Rebel Too is also one of four stakes performers out of Dixieland Queen, whose other runners include stakes winners Two Punch Sonny and Ragtime Doll. Ragtime She’s a Rebel Too is also one of three stakes winners for Dixieland Queen.

Epicenter has three yearlings cataloged for the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale, including a colt out of a half-sister to Grade I winner Sagawara. That sale takes place on August 4 and 5.
