$230,000 Filly Leads Way for Mo Town at OBS
Mo Town juveniles proved popular at this week’s OBS Spring 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale, led by a $230,000 purchase by Pedro Lanz, as agent for KAS Stables.
Consigned by Grassroots Training & Sales, the filly out of She’s Messi put down a :10.0 breeze last week before going through the ring. Hailing from Rakesh and Kumud Sikand’s breeding program, she is out of a three-time winning half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Storm The Hill, stakes winner Dragon Drew, and stakes placed Fleur de Lilly from six other winners out of four-time winner Thornhill.
Two of the three dams on this page produced stakes winners with multiple daughters of the stakes placed third dam Alittlebitsuperior doing the same. In all, there are seven stakes winners and three other stakes performers named on the filly’s page.
SMT was agent for Sabby Racing on a $150,000 Mo Town consigned by Mayberry Farm.
Breezing in :10.1, the colt bred by Fred and Neil McCrary out of Angel Goodmorning is a half-brother to the winning Study Committee. Angel Goodmorning is a half-sister to four winners, led by six-time winner Ghost Hana out of the winning Love You Madly.
Love You Madly is a half-sister to the multiple stakes winner and Grade I-placed Aggadan and to the dams of stakes winner and Grade I-placed Divine Huntress and multiple stakes winner Sonny Inspired.
Three of the dams on this page either won a stakes or produced at least two stakes winners with nine stakes performers named overall.
Mo Town had four juveniles sell at OBS this week with an average of $118,750 – nearly 24 times his 2025 stud fee.
