$250,000 Filly for Corniche at Fasig-Tipton October
Corniche ended the yearling sale season on a high note at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale with Arroyo Bloodstock buying the most expensive of his offerings when securing a $250,000 filly.
Offered by ELiTE as agent, the filly is a half-sister to two winners from two to race out of the placed Curlin mare Chaybaby. The Rosecrest Farm and Dickman Legacy Ranch-bred was also a $140,000 weanling purchase when Hiese Ranch bought him from Warrendale Sales’ draft last November. The colt’s dam is a half-sister to four winners herself with the group led by stakes winner Diamonds R and four-time winner Hard to Be Humble. Diamonds R has also produced multiple stakes placed Maximum Sparkle.
This is a deep family with horses such as dual Gr.1 winner Always Dreaming and Gr.1 winners Hot Dixie Chick and Pauline’s Pearl also listed with 13 stakes performers listed overall.
Corniche’s first yearlings were well received in 2025 with the stallion seeing 80 sold this year average $162,196 and selling for up to $725,000.
