Corniche Colt Brings $230,000 at Keeneland January

Corniche’s second crop kicked off 2026 with a bang this week when his son sold for $230,000 to JPM Bloodstock during the Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale.

Offered by Buckland Sales, the Gmbracstables-bred is a half-brother to the stakes winning Runnin On Promises. That filly is the first winner from two to race out of Hansen mare Runnin For Tuition, whose half-sister is Practical Joke’s Gr.1 Spinaway third Kaling.

This is a successful page from top to bottom with Gr.1 Kentucky Oaks winner Summerly and Gr.3 winners Running Away and Royal Approval among the 25 stakes performers under the colt’s first three dams.

Champion juvenile Corniche’s first crop is set to hit the track later this year after selling for $725,000, $650,000, $600,000, etc. in 2025.
