$275,000 Duo Represent Epicenter at Faisg-Tipton Saratoga

Epicenter saw both his yearling’s sold at this week’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale bring $275,000 when sold on the second day of the two-day sale.

The first of those was Hip 120, purchased by Stripes Stable for Brook Smith and Campbell David from the Four Star Sales consignment. This Magnolia Mares-bred filly has a pedigree that shows she has plenty of promises – starting with her own half-sibling. That runner is the Grade I winning Rattle N Roll, who has nine stakes wins in all.

Their dam Jazz Tune won on the track as one of five winners out of the stakes placed Rap and Dance. That mare also produced stakes winner Rap Tale, who is the dam of stakes winner Transact, and stakes placed Cherokee Rap. Further back on the page are Grade I winners Another Review and No Review and Grade II winners Dance Colony and Blueskiesnrainbows.

Jazz Tune didn’t have a foal this year but visited Tiz The Law for 2026.

Epicenter is also the sire of a Havertz Stables purchase from the Wynnstay Sales consignment.

The final Epicenter yearling through the ring, he is the first foal out of two-time winner Spanx Legacy and was bred by Wynnstay with Allen Poindexter. His dam has plenty of promise of being a good producer if she follows her dam’s footsteps with that mare producing multiple Grade III-placed Delta’s Kingdom and stakes placed Spanker. Spanker is also a good producer as the dam of Mendelssohn’s stakes placed Spankerboom.

Spanx Legacy’s dam isn’t the only one that hints at her breeding shed promise with the mare’s first seven dams producing at least one stakes performer. There are nine stakes performers on the colt’s page overall.

Buyers will have more chances to buy yearlings by Epicenter on August 10 and 11 with the stallion having seven at the Fasig-Tipton New York-Bred Yearlings Sale.
