Golden Pal Momentum Looks to Carry Over to Fasig-Tipton October

The final major yearling sale of the season sees 23 yearlings by Golden Pal go through the ring at the Fasig Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale to close out a year that has seen his first crop sell for up to $600,000.

Early in the sale comes Hip 84, a Machmer Hall offering whose dam has proven to be strong broodmare.

Coronado’s Quest mare Le Relais was unraced but has produced four winners from seven to race with this Kirk Laneve- bred colt a half-brother to Grade II winner Soldat and the stakes placed My Selection. His half-sister Miss Erika is also a successful broodmare as the dam of Japanese Group II winner Christmas Parade.

Le Relais is a half-sister to Grade III winner and multiple Grade I-placed Mulrainy and stakes placed Silvery Bay with four sisters producing stakes performers. The group is led by stakes winner Wine Thief and Officer Hutchy.

Hip 489 offered by Taylor Made is a half-brother to stakes winner and multiple Grade II-placed Oceanic.

This colt bred by Charles Deters is out of two-time winner Rockin Girl, who has produced three winners from four to race. The Rock Hard Ten mare is one of seven winners from eight foals out of her stakes winning dam Dharma Girl, who produced stakes winner Native American and the stakes placed duo of Socially Selective and Cake Baby. Cake Baby in turn produced Grade III winner Slipstream and stakes winner Too Sexy.

A half-sister to Uncle Mo’s stakes winning King for a Day is the dam of Hip 983 offered by Colin Brennan Bloodstock on behalf of Loves Equine Stables.

An unraced Orb mare, Angelic Spirit has one to race with that runner being a four-time winner by another Uncle Mo son in Mo Town. This New York-bred filly from Edmund Young’s breeding program sees plenty of bold type on this page. Her granddam also produced the stakes winning duo of Ima Jersey Girl and Feel That Fire.

Feel That Fire produced three-time Grade I winner Mind Control and Grade I-placed Goddess of Fire while Ima Jersey Girl is the dam of the stakes placed Gorgeous Girl. Feel That Fire is also the granddam of Mendelssohn’s stakes winning Wendelssohn.

A half-brother to Grade III winner Gam’s Mission is Hip 1012, selling with Ballysax Bloodstock on behalf of Forever Spring Farm.

This colt’s winning dam Auntie Martha has produced four winners from four to race and is a daughter of Grade I winner Auntie Mame. Producing four winners herself, Auntie Mame is also the dam of stakes placed Eurowest. Auntie Mame is one of four Grade I winners on this page as a half-sister to Grade I winner Star De Lady Ann. Another winning half-sister produced Broodmare of the Year In Return, whose runners include champions and multiple Grade I winners Channel Maker and Johnny Bear.

The Taylor Made Sales-offered Hip 1395 comes into the ring with a recent stakes update thanks to her dam’s half-sister Whom Shall I Fear.

That mare is the granddam of Dontgiveupthefight, who finished second in the Lynn Chouinard Founders Distaff Handicap on October 11. Whom Shall I Fear is also the dam of multiple Grade III winner and Grade II placed Fear The Cowboy and the dam of stakes winner Marvelous Maude.

This colt’s dam First Romance has accomplishments of her own as a stakes placed Dynaformer mare who has produced three winners from three foals of racing age. First Romance is a half-sister to Grade II winner O’Prado Again and the stakes placed and nine-time winner Medicine Tail.
