Emphatic Debut Win For Saxon Warrior Colt

Break The Ice (3c Saxon Warrior - Whipcla, by Whipper) made an exciting start to his career when running out an eight-length winner on debut at Naples on Friday.

The Stefano Botti-trained colt was sent off a short-priced favourite and duly obliged when running on strongly to defeat the dead-heating Melho (by Gleneagles) and Mr Myco.

Break The Ice was bred by Razza Del Velino and is a half-brother to Group 3 scorer Chasedown. He looks another smart performer in the making for his sire.

Saxon Warrior's representatives last year included Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes winner and Group 1-placed Garden Of Eden, Group 3 Hackwood Stakes scorer Rage Of Bamby and unbeaten dual German juvenile Group victor Gostam.
