First Win For Consistent No Nay Never Filly

Sunglow (3f No Nay Never - Gile Na Greine, by Galileo) was rewarded for her consistency with a first success at Del Mar on Friday.

The John Sadler-trained three-year-old was not the quickest to break, but came to take the lead after a furlong and a half under Hector Berrios.

Sunglow proved tough in victory to score by a head in the five-furlong maiden special weight.

Among the filly's other efforts was a close-up third behind subsequent Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks scorer Velocity at Santa Anita this spring.

The No Nay Never filly was bred by Barronstown Stud.
