Grade 2 Victory For Son Of No Nay Never
No Nay Hudson (5g No Nay Never - Raw Silk, by Malibu Moon) became the latest Graded winner for No Nay Never when landing the Grade 2 Nearctic Stakes at Woodbine on Saturday.
The Wesley Ward-trained No Nay Hudson had struck in Listed company as a three-year-old, but this victory provided the son of No Nay Never with his biggest success to date.
Ridden by Pablo Morales, the five-year-old was positioned in rear and came from off the pace to prevail by a neck from 2023 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint winner Nobals.
Morales said: “My horse broke well but the outside [runner] broke extremely out and I was pinched pretty hard. After that I had no choice but to steady a bit so I didn’t clip heels and I just let my horse get his stride underneath him.
“In the turn I had plenty of horse and I started picking it up and he was just full of running.”
No Nay Hudson was bred by RJB Bloodstock.
