Holy Roman Emperor Colt Gains Third Group Win
Geography (4c Holy Roman Emperor – Guajara, by Montjeu) gained his third win at Group 3 level when making a successful return to action at Dusseldorf on Sunday.
Peter Schiergen’s course-and-distance winner was partnered by Sibylle Vogt in the Kalkmann-Fruhjahrs-Meile and chased the leaders in the early stages. Improving to chase the leader approaching the two-furlong pole, he was ridden a furlong later and stayed on strongly to lead on the line. The runner-up, also a multiple Group winner, finished a length and three quarters clear of the favourite in third.
Owned by Stall Hanse, Geography was sold by breeder Gestut Fahrhof as a yearling for €95,000. The son of Holy Roman Emperor is out of the Listed-winning Montjeu mare Guajara.
