Italian black-type winner for Holy Roman

Three-year-old Freedom Holder (3c Holy Roman Emperor-Vindication People by Vindication) put in a good effort to win the Listed Premio Merano in Milan on Sunday.

Jockey Fabrio Branca put in a well-judged front-running ride aboard the son of Holy Roman Emperor to win the 10-furlong contest in the colours of Scuderia Due.

Trained by Stefano Botti, Freedom Holder was bred by Angelo Agrestini and Stefano Stivali.
