Juvenile Churchill Colt Claims Group 3 Honours In Germany

Lommi (2c Churchill - La Sabara, by Sabiango) became the latest Group-winning juvenile for Churchill with a comfortable victory in the Group 3 Herzog von Ratibor-Rennen at Krefeld on Saturday.

The Henk Grewe-trained Churchill colt had finished a promising second to the unbeaten Gostam (by Saxon Warrior) in the Group 3 Preis des Winterfavoriten last month and stepped up for his own Pattern-race victory.

Lommi was bred by R Peters and was continuing the Group-winning form for his sire, who has also been represented this year by Ridari, The Foxes, Encountered and Yashin among others.
